 Burnt Wick Candles was started in 2001 by me, Mandy Welch, in the kitchen of my home. I was tired of spending a lot of money buying candles, bringing them home and having them not smell as strong as I would have liked. I started making my own candles, adding plenty of fragrance oil so I could truly enjoy it. After lots of trial with different products, I started using 100% Soy Wax and never went back to paraffin. Soy is a softer wax that holds onto the fragrance oil so much better and it is a much cleaner burning wax.
Although it is still a home operation, after lots of time, practice, countless boutiques and craft faires, gifts and word of mouth, the business has grown. Burnt Wick Candles is now a staple in different homes, stores and businesses all across the USA!
